S7 Heat Treat Process |

Here is a general guide to heat treating S7 tool steel. Hardening Heat material to 1725/1750F (orange color) and air quench. Typically in our shop we use a fan to move air across the material to quench the steel. S7 may also be oil quenched to attain the materials full hardness. TemperS7 tempers above 350F (straw color).
